Beginner Bellydance with Haala

After you have taken the introductory Belly Dance Basics course, continue your dance journey in this class, where we will explore many different topics, such as veilwork, finger cymbals, and choreography, while continuing to polish basic technique.   This beginner class is appropriate for anyone that has taken at least one Bellydance class, up to one full year of experience. Each session has a different theme.    In this session, we will continue to work on basic technique, with a focus on dancing with a veil. Plenty of loaner veils available, and I will also have some for sale. Build upper body and arm strength while discovering the beauty, mystery and grace of dancing with a veil.

Continuing Bellydance with Haala

This class is recommended for dancers who have been taking classes for a year or more and want to focus even more deeply on their Belly Dance practice (ask instructor if you are unsure whether to take this class).  I will assume you know the basic movements of Belly Dance, such as shimmies, hip circles, and traveling movements, and are ready to take your practice to the next level.   We will focus on technique and choreography, with a different topic each session.   Advanced students are also welcome to take this class – you will be given extra challenges.   In this session, we will focus on drum solos.  We will learn many different combinations and steps to the most popular drum solo rhythms and accents, and with help and guidance from Haala, you will put these pieces together to create your own unique drum solo!   Included in your tuition will be a CD of an original drum solo by John Price just for you, along with a few steady rhythm patterns to help you practice dancing to drums.

$65 for the whole session, or drop-in for $15
